Songs for Hope lives on!

Many of you may remember the Hunter family's annual cancer research fund-raising concert, Songs for Hope. With the help of our ever-supportive relatives and dear diligent friends, we proudly kept that tradition running for 13 years. With you kind people's faithful attendance, we raised over $30,000 in the process. Last year, it was with heavy hearts that we admitted to ourselves that, however noble the cause and wonderful an evening Songs for Hope supported, we no longer had the time or energy to keep doing it every year. Happily, Glenn McFarlane and the Brampton Folk Club offered to carry the torch on for us as part of their Friday Folk Night series. It will feature performances from SFH veterans Second Wind, Blue Yonder, Brent Cooper, and Mac Hunter in his first ever solo performance. The Brampton Folk Club's Friday Folk Nights have been running for a long time and haven't come anywhere close to disappointing yet, so we expect it to be, like all Songs for Hope past, a night to remember.

This all takes place on January 31st at 7:30, at St. Paul's United Church on Main Street South in Brampton. Tickets ($15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors) are available at the door, at the St. Paul’s church office, or through reservations by calling 647-BFF-FOLK (647-233-3655), or by emailing info@bramptonfolk.ca. Tickets are also available for $15 through the City Theatre Box Office (905-874-2800). For more information, please visit http://www.bramptonfolk.ca.
